Fireside's parents met during an festival in Appaloosa, where Spitfire was putting on an air-show with her team and Braeburn was handling the food and other festivities. Braeburn approached her to congratulate the mare's spectacular performance. At first, Spitfire believed the stallion to be a bit overbearing and excitable, but as they spent the night enjoying the festival together, she warmed up to him. Braeburn found Spitfire to be beautiful and dangerous, and a little exotic. When Spitfire left to return to the Wonderbolts Academy, they stayed in touch with letters. Braeburn often visited her when he could scratch together enough bits for the hot-air balloon ride to the Academy, and Spitfire flew down whenever she could tear herself away from her duties. They married after two years of off-on dating, and had a filly a few months afterward.

Fireside is an excitable, athletic, and competitive mare with an ego. She's fast and quick on her hooves and in the air, and like her mother she causes flames when she flies at top speeds. Fireside is quick to jump into things head-on, and often disappoints herself whenever she fails at something. Extremely loyal to her friends and to her family, Fireside does not take an insult directed at herself, her apple family, or her friends and often has to kick some ass as a result.

Isn't very close with her royal relatives, but has a fairly friendly relationship with her other cousins. Keeps in touch with Sugar Crash.
