Personality:

Larvae is a very sweet individual. She enjoys taking care of others and is something of a motherly/sisterly figure to the other changelings. She's unassuming and a bit naive, and dislikes confrontation. Larvae likes spending time with other changelings, and is very good with children. Larvae is shy around ponies and other non-changeling creatures, but gets along with insects and animals well enough. Larvae enjoys helping others and is a very good listener.

Bio:

Larvae and her sister were born in a changeling hive in the Badlands, the makeshift capital of their kingdom. Queen Chrysalis had ordered the creation of this hive long before the events of the royal wedding just in case they had failed. When they did, they retreated to their hive.

It was a few years after Princess Twilight's coronation that Chrysalis was suddenly aware she was pregnant. Changelings lay eggs instead of live birth, but the Queen could tell due to her fluctuating hormones and increased appetite. This was odd and a bit concerning, considering Queens didn't often have queens unless it was growing to the end of their lifespan. Even odder still was when she layer two eggs instead of one. However, she took this as a sign of luck, and ordered a small group of changeling scouts to infiltrate pony society. Once the eggs were hatched, at least half of the Changelings were in deep cover in Equestria. This wasn't necessarily for nefarious reasons-- Chrysalis' subjects couldn't be allowed to starve.

The first to be born was Imago. She was a bit thinner than her sister, but not gaunt or underfed. Larvae, on the other hoof, was a bit pudgier than most changelings pupas. Chrysalis decided she would begin a new, smaller hive between Baltimare and Manehattan. There she raised her two children.

Chrysalis soon began training the two after they shed their previous carapace on their back, revealing their wings. Transformation was first and most important, and the two sisters both did very well in this field. Imago, however, had a little more finesse.
Next was magic, which was a bit trickier. All changelings had different types of magic they preferred, be it wing, horn, or hooves. Imago was certainly the most powerful with a horn, and neglected to give her all on pegasi and earth pony magic. Larvae at least had a good grasp on both earth and unicorn, but felt more at home with feathered wings.
Last and at least, Chrysalis taught her daughters how to blend into pony society. You couldn't simply just look like a pony, you had to walk, talk, and feel like one. Which is why she began introducing them to pony society. Slowly, at first, just walking around the streets of Baltimare, until she enrolled the two in pony school.

Imago was instantly popular, having chosen a lean, dark form and was classified as beautiful by the others. Imago went by the name "Picturesque." Larvae, on the other hoof, decided to go with something less flashy, mimicking the powdery, soft look of a moth. Her assumed name was "Fae," which was hilarious in hindsight.

The Queen asserted herself in society as a matchmaker, and grew quite popular as well as rich due to matching up ponies very nicely. To say she lived comfortably would be putting it simply.

As the two sisters grew up, they eventually realized that their mother was pointing them towards a competition. There couldn't be two Queens ruling over the Changelings. They knew once they grew to maturity, they would have to fight. The one to lose would be banished from the kingdom.

Despite not wanting to hurt her sister, Larvae didn't want to be banished, and began planning. Rather than attack her sister, Larvae wished to gain favor with her mother, and decided to kidnap the son of the two ponies she most hated; the Queens, Twilight Sparkle and Celestia. Larvae and her group struck on the Grand Galloping Gala, and escaped with very little issue.

Dawn was captured for months, and Larvae eventually began to like the colt. She hated to think what her mother might do to him, and decided she had to go to his parents.

Celestia invaded the hive with nothing short of the fury of the sun. Chrysalis immediately turned on Larvae, shooting a blast of changeling fire at her. Dawn shielded her, however, saving her life.

All the Changelings in the area with an empty heart were sent flying back to the Badlands, while the few changelings that swore allegiance to Larvae stayed, with their hearts full of love and happiness.

Larvae now lives as an ambassador to changelings in Canterlot, trying to find changelings that will listen to her and join her growing kingdom. She is unsure where her sister may have went.

Relationships:

Larvae and her mother used to be close-ish. Larvae was her mother's second favorite, and ultimately looked down upon more. But that didn't mean she didn't love her child. Now their relationship is very strained, as Chrysalis feels high insulted and betrayed.

Imago and Larvae were sisters, although they differed on may subjects and opinions. Imago was often very condescending on her sister, and ultimately didn't treat her very well. Larvae looked up to her sister a lot.

Larvae and Dawn are very good friends. They hang out very often, and enjoy going out and about in Canterlot. She has something of a crush on him.

Larvae is unsure what to feel about Dawn's parents. She's very, very afraid of Celestia, but also in awe and honored she is allowed to stay in Canterlot. By she also likes Twilight, as she seems a bit more easy to talk to.
